TRANS - OXIDE PIGMENTS : Introduction
Trans-Oxide is the registered trademark of Rockwood`s range of transparent iron oxide pigments.
The Trans-Oxide pigment range comprises yellow and red pigments and also a unique brown pigment for which Rockwood holds a patent. The range includes 'neutral' products which are suitable in most applications areas, and also 'acidic' reds and yellows for specialist applications, thus providing the most extensive transparent iron oxide pigment range.

All of the Trans-Oxide pigment range exhibit high levels of transparency combined with excellent chemical stability, durability and ultraviolet absorption properties. Being inorganic pigments, they are non - bleeding, non - migratory and are not soluble allowing good effects to be achieved in both solvent and water based systems.
The properties of Trans-Oxide pigments make them ideal in a wide range of high quality applications such as automotive paints, wood finishes, artist colours, industrial coatings, some plastic applications and cosmetics.
The manufacturing process of the Trans-Oxide pigment range is tightly controlled on our dedicated plant by a computer based system within our ISO 9001 accreditation. The Quality Control throughout the production process ensures a high level of consistency of colour, transparency and strength.
